Soothing & Silly Music and Movement Classes for Infants through Preschoolers & Their Parents or Caregivers
Have Healthy Fun!
Sometimes it seems everything children enjoy (and adults for that matter) is bad for them. Candy, soda, watching TV, to name a few.
And it seems the things that are good for them are unpleasant—spinach, exercise, going to bed early.
Guess what? The activities that are best for their health and spirit (yours too!) are the most fun! Laughing, dancing, and singing are among the healthiest, and you will do all at HeartBeat Music & Movement!
So Just What Is HeartBeat Music & Movement?
This early childhood music and movement class is for infants through preschoolers and their parents or caregivers (at least one parent or caregiver MUST attend). Children have fun and develop basic music competency through a 45-minute class that runs in six- to ten-week sessions. Classes are held at Karate Do, a beautiful dojo in Stow, Massachusetts. There’s plenty of parking, the entrance is at street level (you can roll your stroller right in). And there are two, count ‘em, two bathrooms.
Children are never pressured to perform or learn. On the contrary, if a child feels uncomfortable participating in the class, he or she is never pushed to do so. Surprisingly, often a child who isn’t participating during the class will go home and sing the songs.
I remember one little boy who was quite shy during the first class. As the six weeks progressed, he became increasingly animated and was happily participating before long. Had he been pressured to participate, he might never have felt safe and comfortable enough to enjoy the class and express himself in his own way.
Try a Free Demo Class
I encourage you to take your child or children to a free demonstration class before committing to a session. In fact, that’s the only way to find out if you and your children will enjoy the class, and whether I’m a good match for your family.
